Jeffrey Wieser Appointed Interim President

Bridgeport, Conn. (March 2, 2020) - Board Chair and current interim CEO, Suzanne Baldasare, announced the appointment of local non-profit leader Jeffrey Wieser as Interim President.

"It is my chief priority to ensure the long-term health and well-being of Goodwill. While our search committee continues its pursuit of a permanent CEO and President, I welcome Jeffrey to the team to help lead the day to day operations."

Jeffrey comes to the organization with a history of philanthropy and goodwill in Connecticut. Over the last decade, Jeff has served on boards of non-profits and most recently operated as President and CEO of Homes with Hope in Westport, a non-profit homeless support organization in Fairfield County.

Goodwill makes it easy for individuals, businesses, and communities to come together to support people with disabilities, economic disadvantages, and other barriers to employment. Every time you drop off clothing and household items at Goodwill, you are contributing to a greater good. Every time you shop in our stores and purchase a value-priced item, you are filling a need beyond your own. Last year, Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut (GWNC) helped 2,766 Connecticut residents find work. GWNC is headquartered in Bridgeport and has dozens of store, donation, and career center locations across the region.
