Can I request a trailer on behalf of my client?

Absolutely! Realtors are welcome to introduce their clients to the program and help them complete the request process. However, the person reserving the trailer must electronically sign the Hold Harmless Agreement and be present at the property for both delivery and pickup.

What does my client need to do?

The client must sign a Hold Harmless agreement and be present for both trailer delivery and pickup.

How far in advance should my client request a trailer?

We encourage clients to submit their requests as early as possible, particularly when coordinating with listing photography, staging, or moving dates. All requests are subject to trailer availability, and Goodwill will do its best to accommodate preferred dates.

What types of items can my clients donate?

Goodwill accepts a wide variety of clean, gently used items, including clothing, shoes, household goods, artwork, books, linens, small appliances, and furniture.

Certain items cannot be accepted, including mattresses, sleeper sofas, large appliances, hazardous materials, and building materials.

We encourage clients to review our complete donation guidelines before loading the trailer.

Does Goodwill help pack, move, or load donated items?

We handle trailer delivery and pickup, so your clients can focus on what matters most! While Goodwill does not provide packing or loading assistance, clients have up to three days to sort through their belongings and load the trailer at their own pace. No need to make multiple trips to a donation center, we bring the convenience right to their doorstep!
