Fairfield Store & Donation Station Grand Opening December 1, 2017

On Friday, December 1st, Goodwill will hold a Grand Opening Celebration for its new store and donation station in Fairfield. This location held a “soft launch” in September while construction wrapped up. Now, the new location—which features a drive-thru donation process and employs about 30 people from across the community—is proud to celebrate its grand opening with a formal ribbon cutting and giveaways.

Doors open at 9:00 AM, and the first 75 customers at the store will receive a gift card, while everyone who makes a purchase will receive a complimentary Goodwill tote bag while supplies last. Folks can also enter to win a $200 Goodwill shopping spree all weekend log. The official ribbon cutting will occur at 10:30 AM.

"We are thrilled to expand our presence in Fairfield," said Vickie Volpano, President, Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut. "When Goodwill builds a new location, we also help build the community. Our goal is to contribute to the success of the local community by offering residents great employment opportunities, job training, and mentoring."

When customers shop at Goodwill, they're not the only one who gets a great deal. Last year, sales from Goodwill stores in western and northern Connecticut helped to fund employment training, job placement services, and support services to more than 25,000 people.
