Goodwill launched Good Books, a literacy initiative that allows schools, libraries, daycares, hospitals, shelters, and other nonprofit organizations to request free children’s books for their classrooms, waiting areas, and community spaces.

This program extends Goodwill’s mission of removing barriers to opportunity by putting reading materials into the hands of children wherever they gather, learn, or heal. Good Books is open to the following entities that are located within GWNCT's service territory. Check whether your organization is in our service territory here.  

• Schools (public, private, charter)
• Libraries (public & community-based)
• Licensed daycares/preschools
  Hospitals, clinics, pediatric practices
• Homeless/domestic violence shelters
• After-school programs & youth centers

Good Books is powered by donations. While we strive to provide every request with quality children’s books, selection and quantities are dependent on what has been generously donated.
