Goodwill's Backpack Giveback 2025

Let's make the first day of school special for thousands of children!

We believe no child should walk into class on the first day of school without basic school supplies. And families struggling financially shouldn’t have to worry that their kids won’t have what they need for learning.

Goodwill’s Backpack Giveback ensures that thousands of children have what they need to start the school year off on the right foot. With your help, we can provide 3,000 supply-filled backpacks to children across Connecticut.

These backpacks will be distributed through our partnerships with schools and community organizations so they reach the children who need them most. Each backpack contains essential materials like notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, and rulers. Along with the backpack, parents will receive information on Goodwill's free career services - providing the training and guidance to help them land a job that supports their family.
