Let’s help make the first day of school a positive and exciting experience for thousands of children.

At Goodwill, we believe every child deserves to walk into the classroom feeling prepared and confident. For many families facing financial challenges, providing basic school supplies can be a real burden—one no parent should have to carry alone.

Through Goodwill’s Backpack Giveback, we’re helping ensure that thousands of children start the school year ready to learn. With your support, we aim to provide 3,000 backpacks filled with essential supplies to children across Connecticut.

Working with our school and community partners, these backpacks are distributed directly to the students who need them most. Each one includes important items like notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, and rulers—helping set students up for success from day one.

In addition, families receive information about Goodwill’s free career services, offering training and support to help parents build stable, meaningful employment and strengthen their household.
