Good to Go Mobile Donation Centers

Now It's Easier Than Ever to Donate. Launches in September 2026

Bring Goodwill Directly to Your Neighborhood, Workplace, School, or Community Event.

Looking for a simple way to collect donations while supporting Goodwill's mission?

Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut will deliver a Mobile Donation Center directly to your location. Whether you're organizing a community cleanout, workplace giving campaign, school fundraiser, church drive, or neighborhood donation event, our mobile donation trailer makes collecting donations easy.

We'll deliver the trailer, you fill it, and we'll pick it up. Best of all, there's no cost to participate.

We are currently piloting this new program in the following towns:

  • Bethel, Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, Monroe, Norwalk, Shelton, New Canaan, Newtown, Stamford, Redding, Ridgefield, Sherman, Weston,  Westport, and Wilton.

How It Works

1. Request a Trailer

Complete our reservation form and tell us about your event, organization, or donation drive.

2. We Deliver

Goodwill will place a Mobile Donation Center at your approved location.

3. Fill It Up

Collect clothing, household goods, books, toys, electronics, and other accepted donations from your community.

4. We Pick It Up

Once your drive is complete, Goodwill will retrieve the trailer and process the donations.

Every donation helps fund job training, employment services, and support programs that empower Connecticut residents.

Mobile Donation Center Parking & Loading Requirements

To ensure the safety of Goodwill drivers, volunteers, and the Mobile Donation Center, the following requirements must be followed:

Parking Requirements

  • The Mobile Donation Center must be parked on a flat, level surface.
  • Street parking is preferred whenever possible.
  • The Mobile Donation Center will remain stationary for the duration of the reservation and may not be moved once placed.
  • Please indicate your preferred parking location and upload a photo of the proposed parking area for review and approval prior to your event.

Loading Instructions

  • Load the heaviest items first and place them toward the front of the trailer.
  • Load lighter items last and place them toward the rear of the trailer.
  • Items may be safely stacked to the ceiling to maximize capacity.
  • Ensure all donations are secure and evenly distributed throughout the trailer.

Security Requirements

  • Side and rear doors must be fully closed and securely latched after each use.
  • Goodwill does not provide a lock for the trailer. If you wish to secure the trailer during your reservation period, you must provide your own lock.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the suspension or cancellation of the reservation.
