WEBE108 & Aitoro Appliances in Norwalk Bring Acts of Kindness to Goodwill
WEBE’s Storm N Norman along with Tony Aitoro of Aitoro Appliances in Norwalk visited the Goodwill Store in Bridgeport on Friday, February 1 to share “Acts of Kindness” with the customers. The event was part of WEBE’s “Acts of Kindness, Little Ways to Make a Big Difference” campaign that brings radio personalities along with a sponsor into the community to practice acts of kindness.
Aitoro paid for the purchases of seven customers. In return, the customers were asked to “Spread Kindness and Pay it Forward” by passing along a gift card to places like groceries stores and restaurants to someone else to brighten their day. The idea is to make a difference by putting the spotlight on the simple values in life.
Goodwill is a nonprofit provider of vocational and support services for individuals with disabilities and other challenges to employment. In addition to offering low cost merchandise to the community, Goodwill Stores provide employment opportunities to people with disabilities and other special needs by hiring and training them to process donations and to work on the sales floor. Revenues generated by Goodwill stores fund community support activities as well as job training and job placement programs that help people achieve independence and self-sufficiency.
