Goodwill Hiring Retail Employees

Goodwill is expanding its retail operations and needs to add great employees to our team. Goodwill is an established and well respected non-profit serving our communities for 64 years. While we are best known for our retail brand, our mission is the driver for everything we do.

We have several hiring events planned for our retail expansion in Enfield and Monroe. If you are interested, please plan on attending. Enfield hiring events will occur on December 29, January 6 and January 12. All three events occur at the new location at 65 Palomba Drive, Enfield, from 9 am until 3 pm. The Enfield store is slated to open on January 15, 2016.

Open positions include:

Unit Manager & Assistant Manager

  • High school graduate or equivalent with courses in Business and Marketing.
  • Two years’ experience in a management/supervisory capacity or equivalent.
  • Able to supervise and train in shipping/receiving functions, stock duties, merchandising, cashiering and customer service.
  • Willing to travel and relocate.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend and reach.
  • Must be able to lift over 40 pounds.
Supervisor


  • High school graduate or the equivalent.
  • One year experience in retail sales performing cashiering, customer service, display, shipping/receiving and inventory duties.
  • Ability to lead and direct staff.
  • Ability to operate cash register, perform stock duties and provide customer service.
Retail Associate


  • Be 16 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Be able to lift over 40 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Have flexibility in availability including the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary, especially if a full-time schedule is desired.

Monroe hiring events will be January 5 and January 19, 2016. Both events will be located at the Goodwill headquarters at 165 Ocean Terrace, Bridgeport from 9 am until 3 pm. The Monroe Store is slated to open In April 2016.

We are hiring 23 people for Retail Associate positions; all applicants must meet the following requirements:


  • Be 16 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Be able to lift over 40 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Have flexibility in availability including the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary, especially if a full-time schedule is desired.
