A new Goodwill Career Center will open at the Norwalk Goodwill Store on 15 Cross Street on January 13, 2012. The center, located inside the store, will offer the use of 4 computers, a fax machine and telephone as well as career counseling. Hours of operation will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Goodwill Career Centers, designed to make employment services more accessible to local residents, offer the public free help with resume building and networking, access to local job postings, the use of computers, telephones and fax machines, referrals to education and community support and help with interviewing skills. In addition, weekly workshops provide information on a variety of topics including Internet and email basics, interviewing and proper attire, teen employment, strategies for job seekers over 50 and workplace success. Upon registering with the center, an individual becomes a Goodwill Member for Life. This membership provides them with lifetime access to support services.

Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut is a non-profit organization that provides employment and support services to the community.
